Each wood carving is hand carved from parasite wood, parasite wood comes from the branches of the Jampinis Tree. The branches of the tree become infected with a parasite, but this creates an unusual burl like formation in the wood. The wood carver then cuts of the burl and uses them to create unusual carvings.
